Mickey Kydes Soccer is dedicated to providing youth soccer players with a top flight soccer education. Mickey Kydes – Program Director
Played professional soccer from 1987 – 1996 in Europe and the United States, also a member of the United States National Team in 1987. Retired from professional soccer in 1996 from the NY/NJ MetroStars of Major League Soccer. Grew up playing youth travel soccer in Norwalk, CT where he played four years as a High School starter. Two time All-American at Long Island University where he graduated with a degree in Marketing. President and Founder of Mickey Kydes Soccer (MKS), established in 1996 with over 300 children participating; MKSE has now grown to over six thousand children participating in it’s various programs. Also, the president and founder of the Beachside of CT Boys Premier program established in 1994. He is a United States Soccer Federation ‘A’ and ‘Youth’ level licensed coach. Gabriel Stan – Co-Coaching Director
Grew up in Romania where he played for the Rapid Bucharest Juniors System. A member of the St. Pantelimon Soccer Academy. Has coached the Danbury Dynamo boys premier team and boys and girls travel teams for Wilton Soccer from 1998 to 2003. Worked at Transylvania soccer camps for the last several years. He is a United States Soccer Federation ‘B’ level licensed coach. Coaching Director for Westport Soccer travel program U11-U14. Worked in Westport Soccer rec clinics since 2003. Coaching in the MKS organization since 2003.
Allan Zuniga – Co-Coaching Director
Played college soccer at Sacred Heart University where he was named All-American. Went on to play five years of professional soccer in Nicaragua for 1st division team Walter Ferrepy Club. He is a United States Soccer Federation ‘B’ level licensed coach. Coached boys travel teams in the Old Greenwich and Westport travel program for 5 years. Coaching Director for Westport Soccer travel program U9-U10. Program Director for the WSA Recreation K-2nd grade clinics from 2002-2010. Coaching in the MKS organization since 1999.
Born in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil Fellipe has been playing soccer since 4 years old. In Brazil played 5 years of Futsal and then joined the youth soccer academies for two well known professional teams, Vasco and Botafogo. At the age of 10 Fellipe moved to the United States with his family and then joined Beachside where he played for one of the top 10 club teams in the country until he was 18. During his senior year Central HS soccer was ranked #1 in the state of Connecticut and 24th nationally.In 2010 joined Beachside as an assistant coach. He has helped guide current U15 Girls team to 3 tournament Semi-Finals and his U17 Girls team in 2012 won both the Manhattan Soccer Kickoff and the Columbia Memorial Day Tournaments. Fellipe is currently the head coach for the Beachside U14 Girls Premier Team. Fellipe holds an NSCAA National Coaching License. Coaching in the MKS organization since 2006.
Chris was a four year varsity starter at Norwalk High School. During that time I was named captain, 1st team All FCIAC, All FCIAC West, and the Norwalk Hour All Area team. While I was in high school I was a member of Beachside and Norwalk Premier. During that time I served as captain as we won a state championship and made it to the Region 1 semifinals. Over the summer of my junior year of high school I traveled to Europe with a team comprised of players from Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania to compete in the Gothia Cup (Sweden) and Tivoli Cup (Denmark). After high school I went on to play soccer at the University of Connecticut and Sacred Heart University. During college I coached for Northeast United Premier and I was a counselor for the Ray Reid Soccer School. I graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2005 with a B.A. in History and I went on to complete my masters in secondary education from Sacred Heart University in 2008.
Nathan joined the Beachside organization in 2006. He played professionally at Bristol City FC in England until 1999 when he moved into coaching. Since being in CT Nathan has guided his teams to 12 division championships, 6 runners up positions, 2 state cup finals & 5 state cup semi-finals whilst also winning numerous tournaments. In 2010 Nathan’s U13 team became CT’s #1 ranked team & in 2011 he led his new U13 girls team into the final of the CT state cup, both achievements firsts in Beachside girls history. 2011 saw 4 CT players being chosen for the Regional team, 3 of these players coming from Nathan’s Beachside team and one of which being identified for the National team pool. 2012 saw Nathan’s U14 team win the CT state cup & qualify for the regional championships.Nathan gained coaching licenses from the English FA, USSF and UEFA and began his coaching career at Bristol City FC in 1999. He is also accredited with the Manchester United Academy license, MLS Proficiency Award, and holds college level qualifications in Sports Psychology and Leisure Services. Nathan also holds certification from the American Red Cross in Advanced First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
Played in the Beachside Soccer Premier Program for 5 years and CT ODP Program. Coached in the Westport Soccer rec soccer clinic programs for the past 4 season at the K-2nd grade level. He is a ‘E’ licensed United States Soccer Federation coach. Coaching in the MKS organization since 2009.
Most Valuable high school player in New York City. Played four years at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck New Jersey - Team Captain Senior Year. B.S Finance 1987 / FDU Hall of Fame. Played international tournaments at Lake Cuomo Italy, Zurich Switzerland, Helsinki Finland, Gotternburg Sweden, and also played in Colombia Copa Ciudad de Pereira. Coached at Tab Ramos and Staten Island Soccer programs and summer camps. Holds a United States Soccer Federation National ‘C’ coaching license. 2nd year coaching in the MKS organization.
David played for North Eastern ODP and for the Region 1 team from 2002-2006. In 2004 he was invited to the Super Y-league camp and played on the all-star team who played against the U15 USA team. Was named Journal news player of the year, All-American, All region 2 team, New York state player of the year, Sectional player of the year, Male Student athlete of the year, Section one first team, captain senior year of white plains high school tigers in 2005-2006. Played college soccer for Fairfield University men’s team from 2006-2011. Was named captain senior year. He Helped Fairfield University captures 2 NCAA appearances and 2 MAAC championships. Coached in White Plains youth program and soccer camps in 2009. & 2010. Graduated Fairfield University 2011 Bachelors in Communications. 2nd year coaching in the MKS organization.
Peter is going into his 3rd season coaching with MKS organization. Growing up, he played Westport Travel soccer as well as constantly attending MKS summer camps. He continued to play soccer throughout high school and college, and eventually made the transition to coaching immediately after college. He graduated in 2011 from Southern Connecticut State University, with degrees in Exercise Science, Nutrition, and Wellness. In addition to coaching, Peter is also a personal trainer at Personal Training Professionals of Wilton, where he specializes in youth fitness.
Ian Ross, product of CT soccer. Played at Wilton HS, 4 year varsity player. Senior bowl and ALL-FCIAC selection. PG year at South Kent School. New England prep champs. D1 collegiate soccer player for University of Hartford and UMASS Amherst. Currently playing in the CT soccer league for Stamford Olympia, Working on his USSFD license. First year in the MKS organization.
