Wilton Nutmeg Invitational 
June 11-13, 2010

Registration check-in: This will take place for all teams on Friday June 11, 2010 at Trackside, 15 Station Road, Wilton, CT from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Teams must bring player passes, one certified roster, and one completed NUTMEG player registration/release form for each player. Saturday registration limited and must be pre-approved with the Tournament director. 



 

You are invited to participate in the 29th Annual Wilton Nutmeg Invitational.  This yearly event, hosted by the Wilton Soccer Association, will be held on June 11 through 13, 2010 in Wilton, Connecticut.  It is approved by the U.S.Y.S.A. and will be played under the jurisdiction of the CJSA.

Competition/Awards

The tournament will provide quality level competition for Girls intra club and  travel teams in all age divisions from U-9 through U-14.  Participating teams are limited to 20 players for U-12 through U-14 and to 17 players for U-9 through U11.  All teams are guaranteed to play four (4) fifty (50) minute games. Typically two games on Saturday and the following two on Sunday .
NO GUEST PLAYERS WILL BE PERMITTED.  Please see “The 2010 Wilton Nutmeg Invitational Rules” for player restrictions and other game related information at  www.wiltonsoccer.info under the Nutmeg Tournament tab.  Awards will be given for 1st and 2nd place in each division of U-11 through U-14.  All U-9 and U-10 teams will be given participation medals.   

Application/Registration
Please complete a Team Registration Application, list players by jersey number, and make credit card  or check payment by following the link :
 www.eyouthsportsusa.com/cgi-win/ebap.exe  An entry fee of $450 must be submitted by April 5th, 2010.  Applications completed prior to March 15th, 2010 will pay the reduced fee of $425.
* Addendum:The application period for the 2010 Nutmeg has been extended until April 18th, 2010. Applications for registration can be made by any USYSA classic travel team U9-U14 that meets tournament rules. Please note that Region 1 teams, excluding New Jersey, will not need permission travel form. All other states will require this form. Spots are limited so a completed application is not a guarantee of acceptance. The time in which the application in completed is taken into accounts in the order acceptances are made. The initial acceptance of  teams will be posted by 4/19/2010. Please contact the tournament director if you would like to register after this date. Information on how to register and full tournament rules are available at the links above or at wiltonsoccer.info. Please note that no refunds will be given for weather related cancellations. However, in the event of cancellation of the event in toto, the tournament director, at their discretion, may make refunds for a portion of the registration fee prorated after all fixed tournament expenses are settled.

All accepted teams will be notified by email by April 19th, 2010. All applications fees for teams not accepted will be returned after the final selection is made.  Accepted teams will forfeit the entire registration fee if their team does not participate and the WSA is not able to fill the vacancy.  No refunds will be issued for inclement weather. 

Walk in Registration will be conducted the Friday evening before and the first morning of the tournament. Teams will be required to furnish the following at the time of registration:  1) a Certified Team Roster with jersey numbers indicated for each player, 2) Player Passes, 3) Player Registration and Release Form , and 4) Permission to Travel Forms (required for New Jersey teams and teams outside of Region 1 only.) Region 1 teams accepted into a Region 1 tournament no longer require permission to travel papers).  All required forms, Tournament Rules, Zero Tolerance Policy and our approved U.S.Y.S.A.  General Information
 This is a Patch Tournament; so, please bring team patches to exchange at the end of each game.  All players will receive Wilton Nutmeg Invitational patches.  Directions,  maps,and related tournament sales and events  can be found on the Nutmeg Tournament tab on the wiltonsoccer.info home page.
