Program Information Session

 

U9 (birth year 2011) WSA Soccer for Fall 2019

 

WSA is announcing exciting programming updates for the U9 age group and launching our U9 Development Program.  

For Fall of 2019, players born in 2011 can choose to participate in either the U9 Development Program and/or at later date register for 2nd/3rd grade intramural soccer.  

These updates will take effect in the Fall 2019 season for all players born in 2011. Registration is now open for the U9 Development Program

All interested parents encouraged and welcome, but we are especially requesting that parents of all prospective players born in 2011 (and 2012 for whom this program will apply to next year) join us.

Program Goals: 

  • Welcome all players and facilitate smooth transition from recreational soccer,
  • Philosophy, curriculum and training aligned with US Youth Soccer development guidelines,
  • Players allocated to balanced teams in developmentally appropriate leagues,
  • De-emphasize tryouts during a time when player interest and stage of development are less clear and changing quickly,
  • Provide increased flexibility to participate season to season.
