TRAVEL TEAM PLAYER COMMITMENT

WSA’s Travel program depends on the commitment of every player and their families. This promotes a positive team culture and enables productive practice and competitive, safe game play.  WSA believes in multi-sport athletes and respects other sports and activities commitments. That said, we request a level of commitment that benefits all participants in the program.

Players are expected to:

  • Attend all practices and games,

  • Participate in tournaments on holiday weekends (Labor Day, Columbus Day),

  • Make Travel soccer their primary sport in the Fall season,

  • Make every effort possible to participate fully in the Spring season,

  • Be proactive communicators with respect to any conflicts, as they arise and in advance of their occurring.

Decisions not to return to the team in the Spring season put teams at risk by reducing roster sizes, team quality and potentially forcing teams to disband if there are insufficient players.  Please respect your current and future teammates when making decisions to participate in Travel soccer.

Note that WSA will continue to use double rostering of players and combined age group based practices to ensure productive practice and safe game play, especially in the Spring season.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Each team requires and benefits from 1 to 2 volunteer parent Team Managers to provide administrative support with respect to communications and scheduling.  Please let us know if you would be interested.

We are looking forward to an exciting soccer season in the Fall!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at the email addresses below.
